COSTA MESA — Jordan Davidson had two goals to lead the host Lions in the nonconference game Monday.
Lindsey Holman-Kelly and Jacqueline Freiberger added goals for Vanguard (2-0), which received two saves from Paige Sikes to record the shutout.
Vanguard, for which Amanda Couch and Lauren Evans had assists, posted a 15-4 advantage in shots.
Kansas Weslyan is 1-1.
