6:13 pm: Nice presentation of original screenplay with the Fey-Downey chemistry. This award will be interesting... And Mark Boal takes it for ‘The Hurt Locker.’ A favorite, but barely. We bet that vote was pretty close. Boal’s speech is short, and he comes off as likable: ‘You honor me and humble me with this. I was a reporter back from Iraq with the idea for a story about these men on the front lines.’ He thanks many, including Kathryn Bigelow, and dedicates the award to troops, though not one Sgt. Sarver.
