A while back the Times editorialized on the twin brouhahas over Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile president Max Mosley and Immigration and Customs Enforcement director Julie L. Myers. Our conclusion: Mosley was engaging in what looked like ‘vanilla B&D’ on his own time and did not merit a dismissal from his bogus racing-league job; Myers was participating in a work-related activity on work grounds and was professionally liable for the blackface show she marginally participated in.
Turns out we’re all pretty broad-minded about such matters. Mosley has won a FIA vote of confidence and Myers is still going strong. Party on!
