Welcome to the latest controversy.

The Lakers, of course, don’t see it as an issue. The Clippers, of course, do.

He’s the deal:

When the Lakers played the Clippers on Wednesday night at Staples Center -- it was the Clippers’ home game, so you can see where this is going -- former Clippers and current Lakers forward Lamar Odom dunked with his left hand, hung on the rim and grabbed his crotch with his right hand.

The Clippers found this to be offensive, so much so that their assistant general manager, Neil Olshey, said they called the NBA office to complain and urged the league to take a closer look at the provocative action.

Olshey told The Times’ Lisa Dillman on Friday that he hadn’t heard back from the league.

After practice Saturday, Odom was asked what he thought about the Clippers’ complaint.

‘I don’t even know how to respond,’ Odom said. ‘That wasn’t my intention ... I’m excited.’
