Rodney Fernandez, a former employee of the Hendricks brothers’ sports agency suspected of stealing more than $300,000 from Angels slugger Kendry Morales, turned himself in to Coral Springs, Fla., police and was being held in the Broward County jail on first-degree theft charges.
Bond for Fernandez, 32, was set at $10,000. Morales, a Cuban defector who signed with the Angels in December 2004, left the Hendricks brothers for Scott Boras 13 months ago after the alleged theft.
