Steve Jobs named Financial Times ‘person of the year’

Influential UK-based business newspaper Financial Times named Apple CEO Steve Jobs as its person of the year Wednesday night.
The FT labeled Apple’s rebound over the past decade ‘the most remarkable comeback in modern business history.’
The paper’s profile of Jobs follows his career trajectory from college dropout to head of one of the world’s most valuable technology ventures. It highlights his obsessive work ethic and attention to detail.
Praising Jobs for the choice not to rest on the laurels of the iPod’s success, FT calls the iPad ‘the culmination of an approach that (Jobs) has seemingly been perfecting for his entire career.’
