Justin Kuehn, a right-handed pitcher from Santa Clara University by way of Aliso Niguel High, was selected by the Chicago White Sox Friday with the No. 570 overall draft pick in Round 19 of Major League Baseball’s first-year player draft.
Stephen Susdorf, an outfielder from Fresno State by way of Hart High, was taken 586th by the Philadelphia Phillies, and Ben Orloff a second baseman from UC Irvine by way of Simi Valley High, was selected by the Colorado Rockies with the No. 587 pick.
If I’ve missed any of our local players who have been drafted out of college, let me know!
