Football: Centennial to receive MaxPreps trophy

The Army National Guard will present Corona Centennial’s football team with a trophy for finishing sixth in MaxPreps’ final national rankings.

The Huskies, who capped a 15-0 season with a 21-16 victory over Concord De La Salle in the CIF Division I state bowl game, will receive the trophy during a pep rally at 11 a.m. Wednesday on the school’s football field.

Centennial quarterback Taylor Martinez was selected The Glenn Davis Award winner as The Times’ player of the year in Southern California.
