Girls’ basketball: Brea Olinda 29, Villa Park 14 at halftime

Top-seeded Brea Olinda (28-2) has a 29-14 halftime lead over second-seeded Villa Park (24-6) in the Southern Section Division 2AA championship on Saturday at Cal State Long Beach.

Brea Olinda has converted 40.7% of its field goals, Villa Park has only made 17.4%.

Kelsey Harris has 10 points, Alexis Perry has seven and Keitra Wallace has six for Brea Olinda, ranked No. 2 in the nation by Maxpreps.

Nicole Ballestero leads Villa Park with six points.

Brea Olinda, the reigning Division 2AA champion, has defeated Century League rival Villa Park twice during the regular season.
