Max Wittek comes alive with his legs

Quarterback Max Wittek of Mater Dei has been struggling with his passes but in a decisive fourth-quarter drive, he used his legs to break off runs off 11 and 16 yards and scored on a one-yard run with 5:44 left to give the Monarchs a 20-10 lead over Long Beach Poly.

Corbin Anderson broke off a 38-yard run to the Poly 29. Mater Dei put together a 79-yard, nine-play drive.
