Corona Centennial defensive back Allen Avelar intercepted Santa Ana Mater Dei quarterback Ryan McMahon’s fourth-down-and-eight pass into the end zone to seal Centennial’s 28-20 win.

The Huskies move to 1-1. Mater Dei is 0-2.
