Football: Long Beach Poly holds on for 19-16 victory

It wasn’t for lack of chances.

Narbonne started drives at the Long Beach Poly 30-, 41- and 43-yard lines in the final 9 minutes 6 seconds, needing a touchdown to pull out a stunning intersectional victory.

But the Gauchos couldn’t pick up a first down, and their last chance ended when two consecutive Troy Williams passes fell incomplete in the end zone.

Poly held on for a 19-16 victory.
