Top-seeded Alemany has a 25-23 halftime lead over No. 2 Chaminade in their CIF Southern California Division III girls’ basketball championship at Colony High in Ontario on Saturday.
Hannah Johnson leads the Warriors with eight points on four-for-six shooting. She also has seven rebounds.
The Eagles are led by Cassie MacLeod, who has eight points on three-for-10 shooting.
Chaminade is outscoring Alemany, 40.9% to 33.3%.
But Alemany is controlling the boards with 25 rebounds, 14 of which were grabbed on the offensive end. Chaminade has 16 rebounds, only four of which were offensive.
