Senate Confirms Two for High Treasury Positions

WASHINGTON — Richard G. Darman, deputy chief of staff at the White House, was confirmed by the Senate without dissent Thursday to be deputy secretary of the Treasury.
The Senate also confirmed without dissent Richard A. Pearlman as assistant secretary of the Treasury for tax policy. Pearlman has been acting assistant secretary since August.
