School District OKs Tenants for Pair of Closed Schools
- Share via
New tenants for Adams and Eastbluff elementary schools, which were closed last June, have been approved by the Newport-Mesa Unified School District.
At Adams in Costa Mesa, the board approved a $300-per-month lease with the Newport-Mesa YMCA, which will run a children’s day-care center in two rooms.
At Eastbluff in Newport Beach, the board approved leases for the YMCA and three other groups. As at Adams, the YMCA will operate a day-care program in two rooms for $300 per month. At both schools, the YMCA will operate a program for so-called latchkey children from 2 to 6:30 p.m.
Two other groups, National Pediatrics Support Services and the Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation, also plan to operate day-care programs at Eastbluff.
