A tip from an unnamed source has led San Diego police to arrest three men and seize two tons of marijuana worth an estimated $7 million. San Diego police took two New Mexico men, Mark Scherer, 34, and Dave Wollert, 32, into custody when they searched a rented trailer that the two were hauling. San Diego County deputies then raided a North County woodshop and arrested the shop’s owner, Bruce Eichelberg, seizing what they described as a large amount of cash. All three men were booked on suspicion of conspiracy and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
