A Tarzana woman who allegedly walked into the Santa Monica surf with her two young children last week has been charged with murder in their deaths. Fumiko Kimura, 32, was reportedly despondent over marital problems and homesick for her native Japan when she carried the children into the ocean. Passers-by pulled them out. Kimura’s 4-year-old son, Kazutaka, drowned and her 6-month-old daughter, Yuri, died four days later. Kimura was arrested and hospitalized in the jail ward at County-USC Medical Center, where, a prosecutor said, she is recovering.
