Warner said it is selling part of Atari Games.

Warner Communications said it signed a definitive agreement to sell a controlling interest in its coin-operated game company to Namco Ltd., Japan’s leading arcade game manufacturer. Warner Vice President Geoffrey W. Holmes declined to disclose the terms of the deal, other than to say that Namco is purchasing “more than 50%.” Atari Games is believed to have generated 1984 revenue of about $50 million.
