County supervisors have awarded contracts to widen a section of Workman Mill Road and resurface part of Valley Boulevard. Security Paving Co. Inc. of Sun Valley will receive $466,234 to build sidewalks and to improve Workman Mill Road between Oakman Drive and Coleford Avenue, creating a four-lane highway. Completion is scheduled by June. Sully-Miller Contracting Co. of Long Beach will resurface Valley Boulevard from the San Gabriel River to Temple Avenue under a $54,032 contract that calls for completion by March.
