Junior College Basketball : L.A. Valley Wins, 66-46

The L.A. Valley College men evened their Mountain Valley Conference record Wednesday to 3-3 by defeating West L.A. College, 66-46, in Van Nuys.
The Monarchs, who led at the half, 27-21, scored eight unanswered points to take a 14-point advantage with 10 minutes left.
Valley was led by Jesse Garner’s 18 points. Mario Lopez added 16. The Monarchs’ scoring leaders, Larry Middleton and Glenn Boss, were out with injuries.
Robert Bloom led West L.A. with 14 points and Angelo Hudson added 12. West L.A. fell to 0-6 in the conference and 5-15 overall.
