City officials have begun negotiations with the owner of the building at 653 N. La Peer Drive as the location for West Hollywood City Hall. City offices have been in temporary quarters at Plummer Park for the last two months.

The 7,800-square-foot office on La Peer will cost $1 a square foot. City officials have had difficulty finding a location for a city hall and at one time considered an abandoned mortuary and a nightclub. Even if the city moves into the La Peer building, officials said they expect to move again within a few years.
