$3.5-Million Blaze in Hollywood

Fire of unknown origin caused an estimated $3.5-million damage to a two-story building on Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood Thursday night, routing four men from a bar and a gay bath house in the structure.
Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Larry Ford said most of the damage was to the contents of the Tradition Import Co.. The building also was occupied by the El Taurino Bar, the Diamond Pawn Shop and the Man Space Bath. Three firemen suffered minor injuries. The blaze broke out at 8 p.m. and was extinguished two hours later.
