PCAA Roundup : Las Vegas Wins 17th Straight

Reserve forward Ed Catchings scored 16 points to help Nevada Las Vegas win its 17th consecutive victory, 97-72, over the University of Pacific, Thursday night at Stockton.
The Rebels, who have the longest active winning streak in the nation, broke open a tight game late in the first half and improved their record to 18-2, including an 11-0 mark in conference play.
The Tigers, 7-13 overall and 3-8 in the conference, were powered by freshman forward Domingo Rosario, who scored a career-high 27 points.
San Jose St. 69, New Mexico St. 59--Center Reggie Owens scored 18 points and forward Stony Evans added 16 points to lead the Spartans to victory over the Aggies in a PCAA game at Las Cruces, N. M.
The Spartans boosted their record to 10-10 overall and 5-6 in the PCAA. New Mexico State slumped to 6-14 overall and 3-8 in the league.
