Chapman Plays Cal State Bakersfield

Chapman College begins the second round of its California Collegiate Athletic Assn. schedule tonight when the Panthers play host to Cal State Bakersfield tonight at 7:30 at Hutton Sports Center.
Chapman (3-4 in conference, 12-8 overall) defeated Bakersfield, 73-71, in the teams’ first meeting two weeks ago. It was the second of two central California upsets by the Panthers (the other coming against Cal Poly San Luis Obispo), victories that seemed to move Chapman into title contention in the CCAA.
Since then, the Panthers lost a 93-66 decision to Cal State Dominguez Hills, their worst conference defeat in four years. That loss dropped Chapman under .500 and into sixth place.
Bakersfield is tied for fourth with Cal State Los Angeles at 4-3. Overall, the Roadrunners are 16-4.
Saturday, Chapman plays host to San Luis Obispo (2-5, 13-7).
