Express Names Stevens Chairman of Board

Richard S. Stevens has been named chairman of the board for the Los Angeles Express, the United States Football League team announced Thursday.

Stevens, 54, is chairman of the 1985 California State Exposition and Fair, chairman of the board of directors of the Hanover Group and owner of a consulting firm, Recreational Advisors International.

Stevens will oversee the finance, marketing, public relations and concession departments, the team said, adding that he will also work with Express President Don Klosterman and report to USFL Commissioner Harry Usher.
