Newport Beach : 2 Women Freed on Bail in Prostitution Case
- Share via
Two women arrested on suspicion of prostitution at Coast Shiatsu massage parlor on West Coast Highway were released Friday on $1,500 bail each.
Taken into custody at about 10 p.m. Thursday were employees In Hang Ma, 29, of Anaheim and Kwang Ok Newman, 39, of Santa Ana.
The arrests followed a similar incident at the Coast Shiatsu massage parlor in Dana Point two weeks ago, when five employees were arrested on suspicion of agreeing with undercover police investigators to perform sex acts at a party for $1,250.
Both parlors are owned by Irvine resident Moon Suk Han, who was not arrested.
City Councilwoman Evelyn Hart said the council will review city ordinances affecting massage parlors if arrests continue.
