Mesa College Women Earn Playoff Berth

SAN DIEGO — The Mesa College women’s basketball team improved its Pacific Coast Conference record to 7-2 with a 64-49 victory over San Diego City Friday night at Mesa. The victory assured the Olympians (14-8) of a berth in the Southern California Regional playoffs.
Mesa’s Monica Bradley, who made all five of her field-goal attempts in the second half, had 15 points. Jeanne Burns added 14 points, Diane Collier 13 and Michele Loo 12. Collier also grabbed 14 rebounds.
Sylvia Cox of City (3-6, 6-17) led all scorers with 29 points.
