I hope that John Espey will become a frequent contributor to the Book Review. His review of “Pepys at Table” (Jan. 27) was perfectly delicious.

About Natalie
For a pictorial biography I am writing on Natalie Wood to be published in May, 1986, I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knew her.

Will the Real Lamming . . .
Kenneth Atchity’s review of “The Notebook of Gismondo Cavalletti” (Book Review, Jan. 27) indicates that author R. M. Lamming is a man. The preface to Harper’s excerpt from “The Notebook” (February issue) tells us that Lamming’s novel is “her first.”
If the author is indeed a woman, her achievement is all the more remarkable; diarist and primary characters all seem to be male.
R. M. Lamming, who are you?

Asking a Service
For a book about the Korean War (and with a view toward personal interviews this spring), I would appreciate receiving brief details of service from veterans who fought in Korea during the first six months of the war.
