Industrial Production Up 8.4% in South Korea

SEOUL, South Korea — Industrial production in South Korea rose 8.4% in December from a year earlier but was down 0.4% from November, the government’s Economic Planning Board reported.
Officials said that big gains were made during 1984 in the manufacturing of transportation equipment, electrical appliances and some metals.
