Sex magazine publisher Larry Flynt pleaded guilty in Los Angeles Federal Court to a charge that he used “threatening and abusive” language during an outburst before the U.S. Supreme Court on Nov. 8, 1983. Chief Justice Warren Burger ordered Flynt, the 41-year-old paraplegic publisher of Hustler magazine, to be taken into custody after he swore at Burger and the court. Later, the case was transferred to Los Angeles, where Flynt maintains a home. Sentencing for Flynt is set for March 11.
