Florida Brush Fire Quelled

MIAMI — A brush fire that burned 700 acres and forced the closing of the Florida Turnpike for nearly five hours was extinguished today by crews who set backfires to rob it of its fuel. The blaze broke out Tuesday about 12 miles northwest of downtown Miami and firefighters battled through the night to keep it under control.
