Naylor Enters U.S. Senate Race

SAN FRANCISCO — Describing himself as part of “a new conservative generation,” former Assembly Republican leader Bob Naylor formally entered the race for the 1986 Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate today.
Naylor, a 41-year-old attorney who stepped down last October as minority floor leader of the Assembly, kicked off his campaign for Democrat Alan Cranston’s Senate seat with a series of news conferences scheduled today in San Francisco, Sacramento, Fresno, Los Angeles and San Diego.
