USC’s Track Teams Open Season Today

The USC men’s and women’s track teams will open the outdoor season today with an all-comers meet at Cromwell Field. Women’s field events will begin at 10 a.m., men’s at noon.
Cal State Northridge, U.S. International, Taft College, Maccabi Track Club and the All-American Track Club will make up the men’s field.
Ernie Bullard, a USC pole vaulter in the 1950s, will be making his debut as the school’s track coach. He succeeded Vern Wolfe, who retired at the end of the 1984 season.
