Sri Lankans Kill Fishermen

NEW DELHI, India — Sri Lankan navy personnel shot and killed two Indian fisherman operating in Indian waters in the narrow Palk Straits separating the island nation from the Indian mainland, the Press Trust of India reported last week.
The Press Trust said “two Indian fishermen, aged 27, were killed when Sri Lankan naval patrol personnel opened fire on their boat Wednesday night at Thondikadal, near Rameswaram,” at the south end if the Indian subcontinent.
