A26-year-old Sun Valley man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into a guardrail on the Golden State Freeway in Sun Valley early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Brian Christian was traveling north in the fast lane just north of the Sheldon Street on-ramp when he slammed into the guardrail on a curve at about 2:05 a.m., said CHP spokeswoman Joyce Powell.
Christian was discovered by a passer-by a few minutes later. He was pronounced dead at the scene from extensive head and neck injuries, Powell said.
Powell said Christian was traveling 55 to 65 m.p.h. when the accident occurred.
