Anaheim Wins Soccer Match Over Buena Park

Curiel Garcia scored a break-away goal in the first half, and Jose Aldez scored on a header in the second half Tuesday to lead the Anaheim High School soccer team to a 2-0 win over Buena Park in a Southern Section 2-A wild-card playoff game played at Buena Park.
The Colonists, defending 2-A co-champions, will play Camino Real League champion St. Bernard Thursday. Manny Torrez recorded the shutout in goal Tuesday for Anaheim (14-6).
In other 2-A wild-card action:
Corona del Mar 4, Bolsa Grande 1--The Sea Kings improved their record to 11-6-3 with the victory over the Matadors in Garden Grove. Corona del Mar plays at Edgewood in a first-round game Thursday.
