UCSD Game With USD Is Halted by Darkness

SAN DIEGO--In a game that was halted by darkness after nine innings Tuesday afternoon, UC San Diego and the University of San Diego played to a 8-8 tie at Olsen Field at UCSD.
UCSD scored a run in the seventh, two in the eighth and one in the ninth on Dan DiMascio’s two-out triple to complete a comeback against their crosstown Division 1 rivals. UCSD competes in Division 3.
USD (3-6-1) collected 12 hits, including three by shortstop Robbie Rodgers (home run, double and three RBIs) and three by Steve Bogard. Designated hitter Mark Trafton also homered for USD. DiMascio homered for UCSD (6-2-1).
