ACLU Files Battering Ram Suit

The American Civil Liberties Union today filed suit to stop the Los Angeles Police Department and Chief Daryl F. Gates from using a motorized battering ram that has twice been used to raid suspected drug “rock houses.”
The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, also seeks unspecified damages for Dolores Langford, and her two sons, Dyvon, 9, and Eddie, 4, who were visiting a Pacoima home raided by police with the battering ram and explosives on Feb. 6.
