The “American Legion Building,” once slated for demolition, has been designated a historic site by the Culver City Historical Society.
The building, at 3824 Hughes Ave., was dedicated in 1930 and is patterned after the architecture popular in the mountain villages of Southern Spain. It has been used by the American Legion and as a hall for wedding receptions, dances and parties. The building’s new owner is the Brotman Medical Center.
