Fullerton Women Score 80-66 Victory

Guard Robin Holmes scored 23 points on 10 for 16 shooting to lead the Cal State Fullerton women’s basketball team to a 80-66 win over Stanford in Western Collegiate Athletic Assn. action Saturday night in Titan Gym.
Meg Gallagher added 16 points, 9 assists and 9 rebounds for the Titans (6-5 in the WCAA, 15-9 overall). Fullerton led, only 39-34, at halftime, but got its transition game going and employed a 1-3-1 trapping defense that forced numerous Cardinal turnovers.
Guard Virginia Sourlis led the Cardinal (2-9, 9-15) with 18 points.
The Titans play Friday against Arizona State at Tempe.
