Jean Pierson, a senior executive of France’s state-owned Aerospatiale aircraft company, was named to succeed Bernard Lathiere as president of Airbus Industrie, the European jetliner consortium.
The consortium said the management change also will move Johann Schaeffler of West Germany to the posts of deputy president, executive vice president and general manager. Schaeffler will succeed Roger Beteille, who is resigning for health reasons.
