The Planning Commission has voted to allow a developer to subdivide the Sunset Boulevard property formerly owned by Sheik Mohammed al-Fassi into two lots and has urged him to demolish the fire-gutted mansion that remains on the site. A plan to divide the property into three parcels was turned down by the City Council last year because members said the property was too small for three new homes.
