Tax Charges Against Heart Patient Dropped

STOCKHOLM — A prosecutor said today that the government will drop tax fraud charges against Sweden’s first artificial heart recipient.
Leif Stenberg, 53, the fourth person in the world to receive a permanent artificial heart, was charged with tax fraud seven years ago. He received the implant April 7 and is reported making steady progress.
