Top Men’s Gymnasts to Compete at UCLA

Several of the nation’s top male gymnasts, including Olympic gold medalist Tim Daggett, will compete in the U.S. Western Gymnastics Championships beginning tonight at 8 at UCLA’s Wooden Center.

Daggett, a former UCLA All-American and the 1985 American Cup champion, heads a field that includes six other former or current Bruins, including Rob Campbell and Chris Caso.

The championships, which will continue Saturday at 8 p.m., will serve as a qualifying meet for gymnasts hoping to reach the U.S. Gymnastics Federation’s Championships June 5-6 at Jacksonville, Fla.
