“Some Consumers Resist End to Canceled Checks” (For What It’s Worth, April 15) is timely. My canceled checks form a big part of my income tax preparation. Every taxable deduction is covered by a check, and thus, no argument.
For upper-bracket taxpayers with good bookkeepers, the story is no doubt different. Run-of- the-mill working people such as my wife and I cannot afford not having definite evidence of our deductions.
