50 Cats and Dogs Perish in N.Y. Animal Shelter Fire

ELMSFORD, N.Y
UPI — Fifty cats and dogs awaiting adoption were killed and nine others were injured early Monday at the Elmsford Animal Shelter, in a fire investigators said was deliberately set. The shelter houses between 250 and 300 animals.
