WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Two men charged with murder remained at large Monday after they sawed through bars on a fifth floor window, slid down bed sheets and climbed over a barbed wire fence to escape from jail, officials said.
A convicted murderer also fled in Sunday’s escape but was captured a few hours later, and a fourth inmate charged with burglary, rape and kidnaping was captured after suffering internal injuries when the sheet rope broke, said Palm Beach County Sheriff’s inspector Richard Sheets.
