Everest & Jennings International, a Los Angeles-based maker of wheelchairs and rehabilitation equipment, named Whitney A. McFarlin, 44, president and chief executive to succeed Gerald M. Jennings, 66. Jennings, the son of one of the company’s founders, will remain chairman.
McFarlin comes from Medtronic Inc., a Minneapolis-based maker of cardiovascular devices and related equipment, where he was a vice president.
