Israeli occupation forces imposed new security measures in the southern Lebanon border zone, including a ban on night travel, and toughened their frontier fortifications. In an effort to hamper suicide bombers, the army said at least two people must travel in every vehicle and cars must move in pairs. A virtual night curfew was ordered. Arabic leaflets listing the restrictions were pasted in village squares and dropped from helicopters.
