Nebraska Sen. Exon in Hospital

WASHINGTON — Sen. J. James Exon (D-Neb.), 63, has been hospitalized after complaining of stomach pains, his office said today.
Mark Bowen, Exon’s press secretary, said doctors at Bethesda Naval Hospital have diagnosed the pains as “relating to the gallbladder.” He was admitted Wednesday, Bowen said. He said no decision has been made on whether the senator’s condition requires surgery.
